This has the lowest toxicity among the halogenated solvents but the solvent power is rather low and it has no electrostatic elimination properties. The high evaporation rate results in less film being cleaned per given volume. It is particularly useful for hand cleaning because of the very low toxicity and the rapid rate of drying and freedom from streaks.
However, this product is not environmentally friendly and will not be permitted for machine cleaning under the Montreal Convention.
