Tests are required by quality control to check that the settings of the machine are correct.
These tests are LAD tests, and printer control strips.
They must be run regularly as required by Quality Control.

Tests are available to check the good functioning of the machine.
The light valves, the fader, the cue system can all be tested when required.
Other tests can be made to check the evenness of the field and correct positioning of the lamp.
Steadiness, focus and gate pressure have also to be checked. Laboratory standing orders well specify the frequency and timing of these tests.
