Pre-Wet Printing
In pre-wet printing, a thin coating of the liquid is applied onto the film just before printing aperture. This can be done by passing the original through a small bath of the liquid or by applying the liquid on the original with velvet or felt pad applicators, or by a liquid spray on the original. The Seiki printer uses this method, which is quite difficult to set up properly, and critical to maintain, but is very suited to high printing speeds of up to 50 frames per second [nearly 200 ft per minute].
